Accepting and Correcting Mistakes Decides our Stature!

Everyone makes mistakes; possibly we could be making serious mistakes in our life. But what is beautiful in life is it allows us to correct those mistakes.

When I started to write, like most of the children I use to start with slate and the chalk. I was very happy to write or scribble something in the slate, because it was easy and also I was able to correct my mistakes. Then I moved to paper and pencil, which I felt little difficult to correct my mistakes. Then for the first time I got a pencil with a rubber, an eraser behind. This makes my work simpler in self-correction.

Then I started using pen, I would try to erase the mistake before anyone could see it. I tried so hard to my best to erase my mistake. I use chalk to clean, but it later re-appeared. Again, I try using saliva; it worked, but only to leave holes in my books. I was caught by my teacher for being appalling dirty.  I explained this incident to my mother; she calmed me down and kindly replied, “Anytime you make a mistake just make cross over it and move on” further she added, “Trying to erase your mistakes would only damage your book”.

Likewise, some mistakes we have made can be corrected but some mistakes we can’t. Cross it over and move on. Trying to erase your mistake will make more people know more about your mistake and sometimes it will be a mark of disgrace for life.

Is there anyone who doesn’t make a mistake? NO!

To make a mistake is a part of our nature, accepting it shows our culture and correcting the mistake is progress. If we accepts the mistakes and correct it, that is called progressive life. Progressive life is to accept the mistake and try not to repeat it again and improve in the area that we made a mistake.
With the start of a New Year comes the opportunity to look back on the previous year and strike out your mistakes to make a progressive year ahead.
